Fort Reno is 30-seat restaurant serving cocktails, barbeque and American comfort food, located at 669 Union St between 4th and 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Created by childhood friends who live in South Brooklyn, Fort Reno is named after Washington DC's 'least visited historical site' - Fort Reno, a large man-made hill where DC indie and hardcore bands would and still play in an on-going free summer concert series.

The space on Union Street was renovated by Jacques Gautier, who owns the restaurant Palo Santo. Gautier used reclaimed hardwood, mirrors, and even a plaster slat ceiling to create a warm, intimate environment that manages to feel deceptively spacious given its small footprint.

In the kitchen, we smoke and braise meats to succulent perfection. About half the menu will change seasonally with the core of the menu being beef brisket, whole-hog pulled pork and pork ribs. Specials like duck, game and odd bits will rotate through the menu, based on availability. The meat served is grass-fed, antibiotic & hormone-free, and sustainably raised.

The bar emphasizes cocktails created with American craft distillers, with an emphasis on Brooklyn's own spirits, like Brooklyn Gin and Bitters, Old Man.

The restaurant also provides take-out, delivery, and catering.
